Mailing Notice of Hearing on Petition for Letters Testamentary, or Letters of Administration to heirs and other fiduciaries requiring special notice of court proceedings.
Obtaining Taxpayer Identification Number for the Estate from the Internal Revenue Service.
Filing Duties and Liabilities of Estate Representative form with the court.
Obtaining copies of bank statements, investment reports and credit card statements of the deceased for assistance with determining the amount of estate assets and liabilities to be included with the Inventory and Appraisal form and with the Final Accounting.
Informing government agencies of pending probate petition.
